Throwing it back to a project I completed last year for an Airbnb rental in Southend on sea. I love the idea of designing spaces that people are staying in for a few days – you can do stuff that’s not super practical but makes a great photo! We’re set to be completing on our house move in a few weeks (basically the same time baby is due haha), then before we actually move in we will get the bathroom and WC renovated so they’re fresh for us. Can’t wait to show you what we have planned it’s gonna be sick. And just wait… this next place is gonna be even fresher and more colourful! (I’ve tagged the brands in this photo if anyone’s interested) 😎 Photography by @megantaylorphoto . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #livingroomdecor #livingroomideas #livingroomgoals #airbnbdesign #airbnbdecor #quirkyinteriors #eclecticdecor #eclecticliving #colourfuldecor

Ta-da! My little country kitchen is coming along! Over a year since we discovered rising camp and ripped the whole thing out and now finally I’ve found the floor of my dreams to complete the transformation. It’s taken love, patience and praying to a higher power to find the perfect floor that’s in keeping with our Victorian Sussex tiles farm house. But these reclaimed terracotta hex tiles from @ca_pietra_ are the bomb. They are over 100 years old so look like they could have always been here. We covered up the original brick floor when laid the overlay underfloor heating down. But it was no hard sacrifice to have a lovely warm kitchen floor Great you on a chilly morning! Still lots to do to get the kitchen finished for it’s final reveal but we go slow in this household! Like my husband says to me all the time, enjoy the journey rather than fixating on the destination! 🙏 have a lovely spring time weekend folks! . Continuing the house tour and it’s up the stairs to the 15yo’s bedroom. Into which we dare not venture. When we moved in it was the kitchen of the upstairs rental flat. It’s very small and we wanted to make a real bookcase behind which his Bond-esque lair would lie. Unfortunately, as he was only six at the time the door would have been too heavy for him to open, so we settled for wallpaper instead (tagged). We removed the door architrave and added skirting board and then papered the whole wall, adding a new frame to make it look more like a bookshelf. You can just see the outline of the door if you look closely. We also didn’t carpet the landings as we figured the spots were enough of a statement just on the stairs. I found the lampshade on holiday in Portugal and brought it back in my suitcase. . . . #housetour #stairs #stairrunner #newangle #spottycarpet #secretdoor #lampshade #alternativeflooring #interiorstylingideas #interiorforinspo #myhomestyle #staircase #wallpaper #bookshelf #mineheart #bannister #floorboards #paintedfloorboards #walltowallstyle #interiors4all #whereilive #victorianhouse #lonnyliving #sodomino #upwego

I've recently discovered this cool new company called +TIMBER. This spring they launched an innovative new peel and stick system of timber boards designed to make updating your home a breeze. It really is that easy, peel the backing off the boards and stick them on the wall. Great for DIYers and renters who want to personalise their space in a more temporary way without damaging the walls. Read more about it on my blog. Link in profile. You can order free samples too using the coupon code 'freesample' at the checkout and there is a great competition to win #£500 worth of +TIMBER peel and stick boards. Link to comp is in my blog post too. Walking into my home after a long weekend with my girls at the #rscon was definitely bittersweet. I value the limited time I get to spend with my close blogger friends so much and I hate leaving them. Our job is unique and few others understand what it’s like to do what we do. It’s crazy how you can meet people on Instagram and have a true connection. I started my account in hopes of connecting with other interior design and interior styling fanatics, but I never dreamed I would be lucky enough to meet such fabulous people who inspire me daily. I’ll tag my “tribe” in the the image so you can be inspired too. Truly, if you’re not following each of them, you should do so. They are incredibly talented and genuine women.
