How to install Nuvo Iron gate insert transcript:

Welcome to Nuvo corner. In this video I’ll be showing you how to install a cast aluminum insert.

This project will take you approximately 15 minutes.

The tools you’ll need for this installation are:

  • Measuring tape
  • Scissors
  • Jigsaw
  • Masking Tape
  • Pencil
  • Allen Key Set.

To start, your going to want to carefully remove this product from the packaging, as there is a template needed for installation on the back of the package, use your scissors to cut out the template.

Center the template on the gate, making sure to measure, so that the insert is on the center of the gate.

Once you’re satisfied with the measurements, take down the template to avoid it from slipping in the next step, this template can also be used as a diamond.

Trace the inside of your template onto your gate, making sure your tracings are dark enough to be seen when the template is removed.

Next drill the four holes, one in each corner indicated on the template. This is where you’ll start your cut from.

Remove the template and carefully use a jigsaw to cut out the square.

Next, use an Allen key to unscrew the screws from the insert and take the two pieces apart.

Please note that there are longer screws provided in the package for thicker gates.

Place the insert and tap it into place using a rubber mallet.

Flip the gate over and install the back of the gate insert.

Screw in the bolts using the Allen key provided. Do not over tighten.

Congratulations, you have installed your Nuvo Iron Cast Aluminium insert.
