Heavy Duty Joist Hangers
These are considered to be a face-fix type and are designed to be applied where you might need some additional strength or where there is limited or no access to the top of the timber or the steel. These types can either be bolted or nailed.

If you are interested in installing some joist hangers, some of the things you have to make sure of are that you have the proper sizes, the proper nails, a nail gun, or a hammer. Make sure that the fasteners are fully driven.
The hangers are the ones that usually have holes on the sides, on each side to be precise, and they can even contain some more holes so that the nails can be plugged directly into the ledger board or the intermediate beam.
Make sure to always use the right size of hanger for the joists that you own.
Even if the less deep hangers fit the thickness of the joists, you should still try to use the ones that are the right size.
In this case, you will maximize the chances of the joists sitting still.
The hangers can very easily be fixed before or even after nailing down the joists.
Note that each joist should be spaced about 400mm from the center of the joist, to the next center.
What you need to do in these cases is take the measuring tape, measure the area, and mark with small circles or dots.
Make sure that the distance is an appropriate one and then fix one joist after another.
Also, make sure to use the right nails when you are doing this job, since nails matter as much as the joists.
In some cases, the joists in the timber may be a bit off and the joist tops may not face the ledger board or the intermediate beans.
Carpenters usually work with the joists first, and then work with the hangers later. This is how they have all the joists flush with each other.
Timber To Masonry
Where masonry walls meet the timber floor is where the joist hangers are used.
This can easily eliminate the labour and make extensive holes in the walls.
The thing is, it is very difficult to make the same size of holes in the wall.
In most cases, the masonry walls are only on the perimeter walls of the building, but in some cases, the masonry walls can be the internal walls too, and if you are interested in joining them with a timber floor, the masonry joist hangers are extensively used.

The welded masonry return joist hangers are something you can find in two categories, ones with a fixed return and one with an adjustable return.
They are perfectly designed to fit all of your needs. The return ones add some additional lateral support by wrapping around the back of the masonry or the timber. They have a 25mm drop.
The ones with the adjustable plates can be installed very easily, you just have to join two of them together by a plate on the masonry flange so you can enable the exact alignments of the joists that are positioned opposite of each other.
The plate here can be both adjustable and fixed.
